Scholarships

Every scholarship is an opportunity to showcase your talents and achievements. We hope you will take the time to complete as many local and national scholarships as possible.

Please use the link near the top of this page to access a list of scholarships, including local scholarships, available to Union Grove High School.

Many of the scholarships in the list have links to apply.  Some are documents that can be uploaded in the Related Files below.  Hard copies of applications are also available in Student Services.

This list will be updated frequently.  Please check the list often for the latest scholarship updates.

Important Reminder:  When filling out a scholarship application, neatness, thoroughness and presentation count.  An application is often the only way a scholarship committee will get to know you.  The more complete and clean a scholarship is, the better the first impression.  Remember to read through the criteria to determine if you are eligible for any given scholarship.  If eligible, read through the scholarship directions and gather all necessary documentation including transcripts and/or letters of recommendation.  Be sure to be prompt - do not wait to complete a scholarship.

Financial Aid (FAFSA)

Financial Aid Night Presentation Slides >

There are a variety of financial aid resources available to help students afford college/university.  The most common of these resources is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

All students are encouraged to apply for the FAFSA.  This form is a major indicator used by most colleges/universities in determining the amount of loan money, grant money and scholarship money that may be awarded to a student.  Filling the FAFSA form is free.  Once a college/university receives your FAFSA form they will compile a Financial Aid Package.  This will show you what a particular college/university is willing to give you in loans, grants and scholarships.  When comparing colleges/universities it is essential to compare Financial Aid Packages, not the cost amount listed on a recruitment brochure.

You can start applying for the FAFSA on or before December 1st at https://studentaid.gov/

For help completing the FAFSA, please use the following resources:

  • Union Grove High School Financial Aid Night presentation - held in fall of each year (exact date communicated through student email, parent/guardian email and daily announcements)

  • College Goal Wisconsin - a program that will help you complete your FAFSA; professionals will be available to help you work through the application (bring all of your documents and leave with a completed FAFSA); for more information including local dates visit www.collegegoalwi.org

  • Federal Student Aid YouTube Channel
