“Sha la la, Joseph, you’re doing fine!” One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is about to rock Union Grove High School.
Told entirely through song with the help of our Narrators, the musical follows preferred son Joseph (Nathan Buchanan) and his amazing dreamcoat. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, he ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar (Dax Frausto), but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife (Margaret Martone). While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired, Pharaoh (Johnny Johnson). Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family.
The magical musical is full of catchy songs in a variety of styles, including the unforgettable classics “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door.” Appropriate for all audiences and groups, Joseph will play at Union Grove High School this March for 5 shows only!
Show dates are March 7, 8, and 14 at 7:00pm and March 8 and 15 at 2:00pm. Tickets are sold online at https://our.show/ugjoseph or at the Hwy 45 doors from 7:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday.
